These bottles have a tall thin neck, drawn up from a contrasting base section. The bases are blown into molds, setting the angular forms and creating subtle watermarked textures. The necks are hand formed, each subtly different. The eye encounters these pieces as an exercise in form that shifts as it rises from the base, angular, shape through the shoulder where it transitions to a slender neck, ending in a lip bent out at an angle. The lip is soft, slightly thicker than the neck, organically shaped, and the color reads more densely. The eye knows this piece is hand made.

All murrinni are made in house, from the cane we pull. Squares of color that create tiny veils around another square, or dot of contrasting color. Set in a grid that moves with the molten glass, expanding, lengthening and examining the thickness of the glass. These patterns are volumetric evolutions, designed to draw the eye through the vessel, to the far side of the volume. This interplay of form, surface, and volume is central to my design mentality.
All pieces are finished hot, with my sigil stamped into the bottom of the piece. This preserves the transparency of the bottom, allowing the pieces to float visually. The smooth bottom, and fluid curving sides will let light move through all the walls of the vessel.

The Tall Neck series now has four component shapes:
In two decorative styles for visually dynamic grouping: Murrinni,
and Transparent colors:
Round: Clear with a spiral wrap of our signature square murrinni.
Square : Clear with shoulder wrap of our murrinni.
Octagonal & Triangular : Vibrant transparent colors to complement our murrinni
All are available in approximately 10-12 inches, sizes will vary to facilitate grouping.
